AN Art Fair returns to Ibiza for its 5th edition, running between June 25-28. The fair will take place as FECOEV,  with a series of island-wide OFF events, many of which opened at the end of May. The 2026 edition will include its regular sections including CAN Design, CAN Local and Public Art. Launched in 2022 by Sergio Sancho after his success with Can Art Fair Madrid, the Ibiza art fair has become an important part of the summer season on the island, including the launch of Ibiza Art Week, which coincides with the fair.

Curated by Sasha Bogojev, CAN Ibiza will feature 30 international and local galleries, whose varied programs speak to the sense of exploration and dialogue central to CAN Ibiza’s identity. Two galleries from Mallorca will be present: Galleria Reus and La Bibi. Galleries will present a mix of group exhibitions and solo shows, such as Hamish Fulton at 1 Mira Madrid, Javier Ruiz at Veta, Oriol Enguany at Galería Mayoral, Francisco Hurtz at VERVE, Jesu Moratiel at Carmela, Ubay Murillo at Artizar and Raphael Brunk at Droste Galladé. Bogojev states that: “The gallery selection process is artist-first. We seek out artists from around the world whose work we feel will both complement and expand people’s understanding of this place. That is the key to creating a fair as immediate and intimate as this one.”

CAN Design returns for its second iteration this year, with a focus on work that crosses disciplines including art, design and architecture. The OFF events began on May 29th, running until the end of June, with site-specific projects and gallery exhibitions from Balearic artists. Locations such as a 19th century mill and a former gun powder warehouse reflect the island’s layered history. Select presentations include: Marina Marón at Sa Punta des Molí, Mallorcan artist Catalina Julve and Federica Furbelli at Faro Ses Coves Blanques, Antonio Villanueva at Es Polvorí, Mercedes Balle at Centro Cultural de Jesús, and Mallorca-based artist, Ana Grajales at Five Flowers Formentera Meliá Collection.

biza continues to surprise and impress with the range of interesting contemporary art spaces and CAN Local is designed to highlight them, including the newly re-launched Ses 12 Naus, and Espacio Micus. There will also be three large-scale installations throughout the island. Stefan Brüggemann, who concurrently has an exhibition at the MACE museum, will unveil a public art piece titled Hashtag, Amalie Jakobsen's Osculating Orbits (Sky Blue), will be installed at the historic Vara de Rey Square; and Oriol Enguany's anthropomorphic sculptures will be on view at FECOEV fairgrounds.

Prizes at this year's edition include acquisition awards from Es Baluard Museum, Fundación Nadine, OD Hotels and Paradores Nacionales, as well as residency opportunities at CCA Andratx (Mallorca) and Las Cicadas (Ibiza).

The growing contemporary art and design in the Balearics reflects the islands’ push past the tourist-driven stereotypes, offering new perspectives, new voices and new ways of experiencing the islands. As Sergio Sancho, the director and founder of the fair says: “CAN Art Fair Ibiza is an opportunity to immerse yourself in the most current art, while also enjoying the sea, the sun, the gastronomy and the festive spirit of the island. It brings together the best of many worlds.”
