n Mallorca, getting outside here isn't just about exercise — it's a way of knowing the island more deeply. The Serra de Tramuntana, a UNESCO World Heritage landscape, offers some of the most dramatic terrain in the Mediterranean. The coastline stretches for over 550 kilometres. The light, the air, the sense of scale — all of it makes moving through Mallorca feel less like a workout and more like a privilege.
It's no surprise, then, that hiking and running communities are flourishing. From guided mountain walks for those discovering the island for the first time, to structured training clubs for serious athletes — and every level in between — there is a growing culture of outdoor movement on the island that is as much about connection as it is about fitness.
Tramuntana Tours: Hiking with Spectacular Scenery
Since 2005, Tramuntana Tours has been organising hiking routes to discover some of the most spectacular landscapes in the Serra de Tramuntana. "We offer itineraries for all levels, from leisurely walks through the Sóller Valley with traditional food to ascents of summits like the Puig de Massanella." Among the most notable routes is the Torrent de Pareis, whose difficulty makes it advisable to explore with a guide. Also very popular are the Camí de s'Arxiduc in Valldemossa and the route to Cala Tuent, known for their breathtaking views. Excursions are carried out in small groups of 4 to 8 people, guided by local professionals who adapt each route to the level and interests of participants, offering an intimate and authentic experience in the heart of nature.
