Alcúdia, known for its rich history, stunning beaches and charming old town, also offers two main shopping areas, each with its own unique appeal. The picturesque old town is home to numerous restaurants and a variety of shops that offer everything from souvenirs and gourmet treats to handcrafted home decor, cool fashion and unique gifts. The second shopping hub is the port area, leading up to the marina, where, much like in the old town, you’ll find plenty of tourist souvenir shops. However, nestled between them are a few hidden gems worth discovering on your next shopping trip to Alcúdia, which we’re excited to introduce you to in this guide.
Gourmets Alcúdia
Gourmets Alcúdia is a paradise of regional delicacies and ceramics. In their four shops in Alcúdia’s old town you will find a great selection of local products including olive oils, sea salt, cured meats and Mallorcan wines. The shops Es Rebost, Baccus, Gourmet and Bistro Gourmet, celebrate the island’s flavours in all their glory. You will also find handmade glassware by Lafiore, known for their traditional Mallorcan blown glass techniques, as well as colourful ceramic pieces by Ivanros. The staff at the stores is friendly and knowledgeable, always ready to recommend the perfect gift or to let you sample a few things. Don’t miss the fig jam!
Bendito Armario
This trendy boutique, tucked slightly away from the old town’s main street, has a certain Sex and the City flair. It’s easy to imagine Patricia Field herself having styled some of the playful, vintage-inspired pieces you will find at Bendito Armario. Step inside and you’ll find yourself in a colourful paradise for fashion lovers who want to stand out. The lovely owner Silvana carefully selects the vibrant clothing and accessories. Featuring independent labels from Madrid and Italy, each item is truly one-of-a-kind, making it unlikely you’ll spot someone else wearing the same outfit.
