n September 20, from 6 to 11 p.m., the streets of Palma will once again be taken over for a night dedicated to contemporary art.  Nit de l’Art, now in its 29th edition, the first edition took place in 1997, marks the official opening of Mallorca’s autumn art season. From cultural institutions to galleries located across Palma, the island, and now off-the-island, with the addition of Menorca’s Hauser & Wirth Gallery, Nit del Art has become one of the most anticipated events on the island.

Organized by Art Palma Contemporani (APC), the event brings together 14 leading galleries along with museums, institutions, and even luxury hotels. This year’s program features an enticing mix of exhibitions and events. Galería Pelaires, unveils Parsley, Sage, Rosemary, and Thyme, a group show that brings together international artists such as Katherine Bradford and Jonathan Wateridge. The gallery also collaborates with the Sant Francesc Hotel to present a special installation by Guillem Nadal, coinciding with the hotel’s tenth anniversary. The Hotel Victoria Gran Meliá presents Argentine sculptor Ramiro Oller will display monumental works in the lobby, blurring the boundaries between public space and private luxury. In addition to Nit del Art, APC has recently announced the launch of the Mallorca Photofest in 2026, a biennial dedicated to photography that will take place next year between April 25-August 30. The biennial is led by gallerist Xavier Fiol, who was an important part of Palma Photo, a bi-annual photography event that took place between 2001-2011 before closing. In addition to Fiol, will be co-curators Montserrat Torres and Xisco Bonin, with the support of APC.

APC has organized several group visits during Nit del Art, taking place in different languages and led by professionals in the field, allowing people to have a more intimate and informative engagement with the artists and galleries. Visits can be made through this link.
