he 30th edition of Nit del Art takes place on Saturday, September 19th between 18h - 23h, across Palma, as well as several other towns including Andratx, Pollensa and Santanyi. For over three-decades Nit del Art has been one of the most anticipated fall events in Mallorca, transforming Palma into a capital of contemporary art and performance, bringing people together after the summer season. Organized by the gallery association, Art Palma Contemporani, Nit del Art has grown steadily over the years, with the event becoming a reference not only for curators, collectors, artists and gallerists, but also for other European cities, who have taken inspiration from the event to launch their own contemporary art events.
This year, Nit del Art includes more than 50 exhibitions with over 100 artists participating in exhibitions and events. Art Palma Contemporani welcomes a new gallery into its association this year as well, a66 gallery, located in Santanyi. Founded in 2024 by Anja Maria Wold, the gallery is located in a traditional manor house and hosts exhibitions by local and international artists. Also, in an effort to attract a wider audience, APC invites iGallery and KANT Gallery as official collaborating partners.
Some highlights of Nit del Art include: Tatiana Sarasa, Ochre et Lait, at ABA, José Fiol alongside a group exhibition curated by Belén Martínez Gamero at Galerie Reus, Patrick Goddard, Plagues, at Balazsi, Galeria Fermay presents "¿En dónde tejemos la ronda? / Weaving the Round," with work by Noa i Lara Castro, Janice McNab, popea and Jennifer Tee, curated by Cristina Anglada, as well as an intervention by Alejandro Corujeira at the Sant Francesc Hotel, Galeria Pelaries presents Espinturalidad," featuring work by André Butzer, Luis Gordillo, Ann-Kristin Hamm, Albert Oehlen, Markus Oehlen, Jana Schröder and Christoph Steinmeyer, and Florit Florit presents "Miedo al colapso," by Dasha Shishkin and Alejandro Leonhardt at their main gallery as well as a group show "The Guestroom" at the Bulthaup Mallorca Nicolau space.
