new edition of Art Palma Summer takes place on Thursday, June 4th, with nearly thirty galleries and cultural institutions opening their doors between 18h-21h. The island-wide event, which officially opens the summer cultural season in Mallorca, will include nearly fifty exhibitions and feature more than 100 artists.


For its 11th edition, Art Palma Summer presents an ambitious program that includes a focus on local talent as well as international artists, with shows by Daniel Arsham, Martin Creed, Jannis Kounellis, Lydia Blakeley, Alejandra Corujeira and Joan Fontanberta, among many others. Two new galleries will be featured for Art Palma Summer – a66, based in Santanyi, and KANT, which recently opened a new space in Bonaire, and Art Palma Summer has expanded its reach with events taking place in Palma, Andratx, Pollensa, Santanyi, as well as on the Ile de Rei, in Menorca, with the support of Hauser & Wirth.

Balearic artists will be a main feature of Art Palma Summer. Joan Cortés is exhibiting at 6a Taller i Galeria d'Art with "La temptació de les formes" (The Temptation of Forms); Galeria Reus is showing the work of Alejandro Javaloyas, a Mallorcan artist with a national presence; Ñaco Fabre is participating in a group exhibition at KANT Gallery; and Espai Cor is presenting "Habitar la natura" (Inhabiting Nature) by Fèlix Coll. Among institutional spaces, La Misericòrdia shows the work of Beatriz Polo Iañez from Palma, Es Baluard Museu the new exhibition by Aina Albo Puigserver curated by Sofia Moisés Pizà and for the first time at Art Palma Summer, the Ses Culture House Cases Noves de Santanyí, houses the works of JM Ramírez Suassi and Pau Aguiló, winner of the XIII Premi Vila de Santanyí Francisco Bernareggi 2025.

ther highlights will include the exhibition Wunderkammer by Joan Fontcuberta, curated by Iván de la Nuez and Fernando Gómez de la Cuesta at the Casal Solleric; as well as the winning project of COP 3 by Fermín Jiménez Landa, and a site-specific installation by Nuria Mora. Also at Casal Solleric are exhibitions by Bel Font and Jesús Barrera, The Fundació Miró Mallorca presents Retrobar Miró, La guspira màgica, a retrospective exhibition of Joan Miró that will remain open until January 2027, along with three other exhibitions in its various spaces: Jean Marie del Moral, Carlos Bunga, and Claudio Zulian.


Organised by Art Palma Contemporarani, Art Palma Summer is one of three main cultural events supported by the gallery association, including Nit del Art, in September, and Art Palma Brunch, in the spring. This year, Art Palma Summer coincides with Photo Fest, the photography biennial that takes place between April 15-August 30th.  If you can’t make the openings on Thursday, most of the exhibitions will remain on view throughout the summer.
